Loco Creativepool Annual Awards Shortlist 2018

Loco’s very successful Grande Fromagemas video for Byron Hamburgers’ Christmas (aka Cheesemas) campaign has been shortlisted for the Creativepool Annual Awards in the social category. As well as being evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges, shortlisted works are open to public voting for a chance to be recognised as the People’s Choice.

The Creativepool Annual Awards include 27 categories of the best creative work, plus 10 categories for individuals, teams and companies in the creative industries. The People’s Choice allows Creativepool members to vote for their favourite shortlisted works and nominated creatives. To vote for Loco before Friday 23 February, simply click the vote button under our Grande Fromagemas project. If you aren’t already part of Creativepool, you’ll be asked to sign up. Membership is free, the registration process is quick, and there is an abundance of inspiration and talent exchanged through this online community.

The judging panels for the Creativepool Annual include marketers and creatives from agencies and brands around the world. The judges in the social category are: Jerker Fagerström, ECD of McCann; Helen Lawrence, Twitter’s Head of Creative Agencies, EMEA; Nick Jenkins, Facebook’s Ecosystem Development Manager; Tim McLoughlin, Head of Social Media for Hotels.com and Alex Pierce, Global Network Director for MullenLowe. We wait in eager anticipation for news of how they have scored our entry.

Our shortlisted video, The Grande Fromagemas, was commissioned by Byron Hamburgers as the central piece of video content for their Christmas “Cheesemas” campaign. The video appeared on the brand’s Facebook and Instagram channels and was supported by paid media placements and associated PR rollout to regional press as organised by Byron’s PR agency, Splendid Communications.

Our Grande Fromagemas social media video achieved a remarkable 300k views within the first three days on Facebook, and its engagement rate continued to climb into the tens of thousands in the run-up to the holidays. Ultimately, it won more than 1.7 million views and over 18 thousand engagements across Facebook and Instagram.

Voting and Judging for the Creativepool Annual ends 23 February with the Annual Launch Party on 5 April. As well as being promoted in Creativepool online, winners will be included in the Creativepool Annual, a beautifully printed and bound publication which is distributed to industry leaders at brands and agencies around the world. We are excited to have our work shortlisted and shared across the Creativepool community and the industry at-large.
